A MUN conference is a simulation of the United Nations where participants act as formal representatives of different countries. They debate global issues, draft resolutions, and work for diplomatic solutions.

No, prior MUN experience is not required to attend BAUMUN’26
Go to “Apply” section on this website. Apply for your desired position at the conference. Fill the questions with correct information at related Google Form. Agree upon the given terms in the Google Form. Submitt your form. Now you are applied for BAUMUN’26. However to conclude your application and be able to attend the conference you need to follow more steps.
After your application you will receive an e-mail to your provided e-mail account which states that your application is received. Once your application is received, the Secretariat will evaluate your application. When the evaluation process is completed you will receive either an acceptance or rejection e-mail. If you got rejected it means that you got rejected for the position, not entirely for the conference. Which means you can still apply for other positions at BAUMUN’26. If you got approved now you must complete your payment within 5 business days. Otherwise your application will be dropped. After the completion of your payment you will receive payment received mail which confirms that your application is concluded and you are able to attend BAUMUN’26!
There are three key steps to be prepared for an MUN conference. First is to research your country: is your country a democracy or a dictatorship, what are the current policies related to agenda items, which countries are you allied with. Second is to research the agenda items: what is the issue, who is affected, what are the previous UN actions and resolutions. Third is to write a position paper: it is always better to articulate your country’s stance concretely on paper.
Position paper is the document which states your country’s or representation’s standpoint at given agenda item. The chairboard will decide whether the delegate will submit a position paper or not and will let you know when the date gets closer.
Yes, you have to deliver a speech at least once during the conference. This speech is called opening speech and delivered at the first formal session.
You have to bring Code of Conduct -even if you are over age 18- and if you are under 18 also you have to bring Muvaffakatname in order to attend the conference.
Formal dress code is Western Business Attire. It’s basically a suit and tie for the men, for women it is some variation of a blazer with dress pants or a knee-length skirt, paired with a blouse or dress shirt.
During the first official session’s General Speaker’s List you will have the floor according to the alphabetical order. When you have the floor you will greet the chairboard and the committee and then stand your point regarding agenda items. Once you conclude your speech you have to yield the floor to the chairboard in order to turn back to your seat.
